What is the PTA and what do they do?
This is the parent and teachers association. The school has a very committed and active PTA who raise funds for much needed equipment. The association meets informally every half term to discuss and organise events like the infant fun nights, junior discos, school fairs, plant sales and the sponsored bounce.
Who can join the PTA and when do they meet?
Any parent, carer, grandparent etc can be involved with the PTA. We are always on the look out for new members and welcome new members with fresh ideas for events that are both exciting for the children and good money spinners. We meet every half term, usually in the staff room after school at 3.15 p.m. Anyone who has children with them can place them either in an after school club or in Mojo's after school club providing they are in nursery or above.
How can I find out what is happening with the PTA?
The PTA publish a termly newsletter to keep all parents/carers informed of forthcoming events. This is sent home with all the children. We also have a notice board in the playground that contains lots of useful information.
How can I get involved with the PTA?
That is easy, just leave your name and phone number or email address with Mrs Musgrave in the school office and we will contact you. The newsletter always has a please contact me slip attached. You can fill this in and hand it in at the office and again we'll contact you.
How involved do I need to be?
You are involved as much or as little as you like as this commitment is purely voluntary and it works around your time. You volunteer for the events you are able to help with. You do not need to attend every meeting although the more people who do the more ideas we have and you do not have to attend every event.
