Thanks to all the PTA committee members, teaching and non-teaching staff, parents and children for all their efforts and support over the last year.
The constitution of the PTA is to advance the education of the pupils in the school. In particular by developing effective relationships between staff, parents and others associated with the school, by engaging in activities or providing facilities and equipment, which supports the school and the pupils.
We believe that by continuing to run events that involve children, teachers and parents, and that raise money to use for the benefit of the school, we are upholding our constitution.
Like any charitable organisation we are reliant on volunteers. These can be fully committed like committee members, or one-off helpers – all are needed. It is essential that the PTA recruit new committee members as well as helpers in order to keep new ideas and enthusiasm and ensure the ongoing stability of the PTA. We will continue to recruit parents and friends of the school to assist in PTA activities.
Last year we supported the schools through providing funding for the residential trips to France and Robinwood and through the ongoing purchase of a third mini bus.
This year we have planned to raise funds to continue payments for the new mini bus and a contribution to the Year 6 France and Year 5 residentials. We will also provide funds for the purchase of ELMO visualisers for Key stage 2. We will assist with other areas for donation or support as they arise.
Finally, we would like to thank everyone for their efforts and we hope to have another successful year.
