Young Voices

Our school choir went to the Manchester Young Voices concert last night at the Manchester O2 Arena and performed as part of the largest children’s choir in the world. Here are some photos of our evening. As you can see, we had a fantastic time!

Big Cook, Little Cook - 02.10.15

Big Cook, Little Cook, takes place on a Friday after school. With the help of Riz, we make healthy snacks that we could also make at home. This week we made yoghurt surprise. We are looking forward to pizza making in our next session!

Big Cook, Little Cook - 09.10.15

This week we made mini pizzas. We spread tomato puree on to cut barm cakes, sprinkled grated cheese on top and then added our favourite toppings. We had a great time eating them.  While our pizzas were cooking, we looked at how much sugar was in some of our favourite foods, it was quite an eye opener.

The school has a wide range of extra-curricular activities available for pupils in Key Stage One and Key Stage Two.  These activities run after school and are funded through school fund.  We also have funding for sports clubs, like football. The type of clubs we offer include sporting activities, cybercafé, art activities, cooking lessons and fun and games.  The activities available vary from term to term. The school is lucky enough to have a mini-bus which we use for after school clubs as well as curricular trips and visits. This was kindly funded by the school’s brilliant PTA.

We also run lunch time clubs for the children, which include sports and ICT activities.

During the school day, we have tuition for musical instruments, including recorders, saxophones and clarinets and flutes.
